This is Nannia she is a Akita/Aussie
mix. We rescued Nannia when she
was just 5 days old and a couple of
pounds. We bottle feed her and
raised her that was about 6 years
ago. Nannia is still with us and is one
of the sweetest dogs. She just loves
when we have puppies....
This is Leroy Brown my daughter's
dog. Leroy is just a pet he was gift
to my daughter from a friend. We
got him when he was 6 weeks old he
is now 2. He is a Yorkie mix and
loves basset hounds there ear's are
great for pulling on.......
This is Murdock and he has a story behind his rescue. Murdock came to NY
from Guardian Angel Basset Rescue in Illinois. He came in 2005 at 1 1/2 years
of age when ABC basset rescue took some of GABR bassets to help put them in
there forever homes. Murdock was found on the street in Illinois and no
history was known on him. Murdock was brought to NY and went to live in his
new home. However that did not work out and he was returned to ABC Rescue.
He spent a short time here with us at Tompkins Kennel being fostered until he
was once again adopted. After being in his new home for a year we received
the phone call that Murdock was once again in need of a home. He has had
some behavior issues and needed some long term working with. There came a
time when we felt Murdock was ready to be adopted to the right home. But
Murdock had other plans and his adoption had once again failed. At this time a
decision had been made that he was becoming a danger to people and the next
step was euthanasia. But through it all my son kept telling us he is a great dog
he just wants to stay her with us. The day came when Murdock's chances
where up and at the last minute we decided to give Murdock one last chance.
That was the beginning of the summer and Murdock is still here with us. We
have worked with him all summer and he is truly the sweetest basset. Murdock
will stay here with us in his forever home.
