The Rainbow Bridge It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of it's many color's. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge is a land of meadows, hills and valleys all of it is covered with lush green grass. When a beloved basset dies, the basset goes to this lovely land. There is always food and fresh water and worm spring weather. There the old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole once more. They play all day with each other, content and comfortable. There is only one thing missing. They are not with the special person who loved them on Earth. So each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! Then, the nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! You have been seen, and that one suddenly runs from the group! You take him or her in your arms and embrace, Your face is kissed again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your pet. Then together, you cross the Rainbow Bridge , never again to be separated.

Our Dearest Hank,
We were only together for 6
years, but the paw prints you
left on our hearts will last
forever. We miss you in every
part of our daily lives. Thank
you for always being there &
loving us so much. One day we
will be together again and have
many kisses at the bridge. We
love you so much, baby-boy.
Love, Mommy, Anthony & Ramie.
There were good days, bad days, hard days and sad days but in the end there
was a day of strength. The strength the Zook family had to know when it was
time to make the decision to let Hank go. Zook family you gave Hank such a
loving caring home and did all you could for him.
We wish you the best........................

"Skylar
September 8, 2007
This is Skylar he is 16 year's old
and he is our old timer. We adopted
Skylar from ABC Basset Hound
Rescue. Skylar has left us to take
his journey to the bridge. Although
he spent only two year's with us
he was so much apart of our family.
Skylar will be missed so much by
our family and his buddy Leroy. We
know that he was happy and loved
here at our home. The decision to
let him go was so hard for us but
we know it was the right thing to
do. He is not in any pain and will be
at piece now. We will never forget
our old timer Skylar.
"Star"
March 13, 2008
This is Star she is a rescue that we
adopted from ABC Basset Hound
Rescue. Star was 10 when we
adopted her. She was with us for a
couple of years. Star was a very
sweet girl who was not taken care
of and ended up in rescue. Star had
trouble getting up and walking but
was comfortable in our home for a
long time. She became very fragile
in the end from the neglect she had
when she was younger. Star will
now be at piece and is with her
friend Skylar. We will always hold
her in our heart and miss her. We
would like to thank Gary Penny
from ABC Basset Rescue for
allowing us to adopt Star. Keep up
the wonderful work you do for
rescue bassets Gary!
"Droopy"
Aug. 2003 – May 31, 2008
This is Droopy our best friend, he
was with us his entire life. Although
Droopy has gone to the Rainbow
Bridge our hearts are filled with
memories of him. We are sure that
Droopy would be very happy to know
that, in his honor, we have adopted
Dickson and Baxter ( formally
Brownie ) into our household. They
will now provide us with the love and
affection that Droopy afforded us
daily. We will miss Droopy!!! His
memory will continue through the
many stories that will be told about
him and our two new best friends.
